PLEASE NOTE YOU ARE MONITORED BY SERVERWATCH 24/7

Serverwatch will kick all players that use abusive language. If you are banned by Serverwatch for abusive language you WILL NOT be allowed back in to the server, period. Also note that some players are kicked for high pings so if your buddy is gone it may only mean his ping was too high so check your console before you mount a protest and waste the admins time.

Serverwatch can communicate to other players for you so you do not have to resort to bad language to notify someone of an infraction.

Type:
HOP for the hop message
BLOCK if someone is blocking an exit
CROSSHAIR if someone asks about their crosshair
TIME for the time and date

PLEASE NOTE THE CYGR MOD IS NO LONGER USED! AEWO IS NOW USED ON ALL SERVERS!
Also note that the CYGR mod will:
1) Remove your crosshair
2) Limit your weapons
3) Select the allied team
4) Provide spawn protection for 7 seconds. You might have shot them as they spawned but if they are under protection your shots will do no damage. Keep this is mind before you complain.
4) Range your weapons: Pistols are ranged to less than 20 yards and rifles to 400 or more. SMG's are ranged to a max of 75 yards.

If you do not like that we are sorry but we will NOT change it for anyone. We also reserve the right to switch any map to "rifles only" at any time. And "yes" we do play non standard allied teams on many maps BUT if you would like to play as another team let the admin know and they MIGHT change it to that team for the next round.

The Darkside servers are made for all players. We do not and will not tolerate bad behavior of any kind. We assume that when you come to play on our server that you will act like an adult even if you are not one. If you have a question about our rules ask any =rTr= member or post a question in these forums.

Please DO NOT engage in the following acts:

//CoD and Spearhead//
1) Bunny Hopping and/or Hopping to Avoid Fire: Bunny hopping is when you jump over and over on a map to gain ground or to avoid being shot by an adversary. We may or may not warn you of this because it is part of the rules that you see on your screen. This WILL result in you being banned for life. Hopping to avoid taking fire is also considered an infraction of the rules. When our armed forces start teaching soldier to hop in order to avoid being hit by fire (at any time) we will reconsider. Until then, hop only to get over something or on to something.

2) Rude Names: We can and will ban players that have rude or derogatory names. This means any name that is vulgar or refers to a sexual organ or those names that put down or make fun of any race. We may or may not warn you of this because it is part of the rules thatyou see on your screen and as an "adult" you should know how to behave.

3) Bad Behavior: Name calling or general rudeness will get you kicked or banned. We will not allow comments that are made to inflame a person or persons on the server. This includes the "I own you" mentality. We may or may not warn you of your infraction before we remove you.

4) Clan Recruiting: This is just in poor taste and if you keep it up we will kick you from the server and possibly add your clan tag to the ban named list so none of your memebers will be able to connect to the server.

5) Weapon Abuse: If you connect and get the sniper rifles over and over you could be kicked. Only one sniper per team is allowed and we expect you to share this with all of the players. One map with the rifle and one map without is a good rule. (NOTE AEWO ALLOWS FOR MULTIPLE SNIPER RIFLES)

6) Team killing is monitored by the admins and the server. You are NOT to tk anyone for any reason. If you retaliate for a tk then you are just as bad as the person who shot you. If a player hits -5 the server will remove them. If an admin sees anyone tk another player on purpose they may remove them right then and there. Repeted tk's will result in a ban and your cd key being reported to punkbuster. My advice is if you have bad aim try VERY hard not to shoot when others are around.

7) Swearing extends to their abbreviated forms as well. Three letter combos for popular sayings COUNT for swearing. SO please use only language you would use around babies and your grandparents. If you are unable to refrain from swearing you will be removed. Also NO "accidental" swearing is done in a typed format. So do not try to pull a "oh I did not do it on purpose"....that will NOT fly on this server.

1) We play HoB for fun. We do not run by CAL or any other leagues rules. We run by the rules listed in this post. If you do not like it then please be mature enough to leave.

2) Spawn camping will NOT be tolerated. If you persist on being one of those types of players then you will be banned. We really do not care if you do it elsewhere.....abuse in this manor DOES not even allow for a game so go somewhere else.

3) Sniping into a spawn point will also not be tolerated. Due to some bad map design this tactic is being employed by those with little or no skill. If you want to play this way then do so on another server. If players are dropping dead from sniper fire when they spawn and your the culprit rest assured that YOU WILL be banned.

6) Firing your weapon in the spawn is immature and counter productive. If you insist on doing this childish behavior then you may be removed by the admin. Bottom line...DO NOT fire a weapon in the spawn....PERIOD.

7) HoB is a team game but not everyone knows that. HELP is better than insults. If you want to insult people because they do not know what they are doing then go somewhere where everyone already knows what to do. We want to help players within this mod. If you are counterproductive to our goals then maybe you need to play elsewhere. If the choice becomes a difficult one for you rest assured we will "help" in your decision making process.

8 ) You do not "own" anything. Try to refrain from using childish banter on the server. All =rTr= admins are way past these things and if you insist on spamming the message display with these types of messages we will remove you. Try to keep it clear for the communication messages that are so vital to gameplay.

//Jedi Knight Only//
1) No saber = no attack with force, kicks or saber. This rule will be enforced and all players who do not adhere to it will be removed.

2) No foul names or language at any time.

3) No rapid model changes close to another player. Do not do the "small model" trick, you do and your banned. If you do not know what this is do not worry about it.

4) ALWAYS show respect in a duel. Start all duels with a bow and a "good fight" at the end. No one likes a poor sport or a "Jedi" with no Honor.

5) Grip kick or pull kick spammers (if thats all you do) will be removed from the game.

Even without an =rTr= member on board you are watched by a language monitor and a server monitor. We can and will get the I.P. of any person or persons we see from the log that are swearing or we have numerous complaints on (See the Serverwatch section above if this is not clear by now.)

Any person who is banned from our server will have their I.P. sent to "The Cheat Police" and may experience a lack of good servers to play on. We share this ban list in the hopes of keeping all servers "idiot" free. My advice...do not get on this list if you like to play CoD.

With the addition of PUNKBUSTER (on 1.4 server) , be forewarned that we are members of the PunksBusted network. A ban by Punkbuster will result in a ban across an ever growing number of servers. The bans are loaded to the main Punkbuster server EVERY day.

These are the most basic of rules. If any admin (any =rTr= member) asks you to do something then please do as they ask. This is our server and you are a guest. We reserve the right to remove any player at any time. If you feel you have been removed unfairly or have suffered "Admin abuse" please post to us in this thread or send a personal message to Crazy Yoda or Pvt. Pink Floyd.

In closing I would like to add that it is a privledge to play on a server not a right. Servers are run by people just like you and they have their own thoughts on how things should be run just like you do. But the difference is they have commited time, money and recources to their server. My advice to those that do not like the way a server is run is to leave and find a server that suits your style of play. If you cannot find a server that suits you then run your own. This is "Floyd's Dark Side" servers so we make the rules. Remember it is America so if you do not like it LEAVE and do not waste our time.

It has been requested that I post a list of words that are in the swear filter. I've decided against that but will make the following comment:

Do not use language, imply a tone, or espouse anything that you would be ashamed to use were your mother in the room with you.

Regardless of the language your mother uses or how you were brought up, if you do not understand or respect the moral values that most of middle America does, I don't want to play with you, don't care to have you on the server, and certainly will not debate the issue with you. Plain and simple.

If you use the above guidelines and act as decent people do, you will have absolutely no trouble with the swear filter.
