Call of Duty Goes Gold! |
In an interview over at Gamer's Depot, Chief Creative Officer, Vince Zampella and President, Grant Collier had this to say:
GD: Where are you at with development and the game engine—is final build complete, or are there still a few things to hammer out?
Vince: It’s gold – just a few more things to complete like the Asian Build for Taiwan and such.
Grant: We’re also fine tuning the Linux Server Build.

Gone For A Bit.. |

Server Rules.....READ THESE PLEASE! |
I would just like to state that effective Oct 9th 2003 the server Admins of "Floyd's Darkside Server" will be cracking down on any person or persons who do not wish to follow the guidelines that we have laid out for the server. These guidelines are posted every few minutes via console messages. Over the past four five days more people have been banned than in the last month and a half. The Admins do not know why this is the case but the bad behavior and obscene language will not be tolerated. Here is a brief list of the rules just in case you do not know them by now.
1) No Swearing...period. If you swear and are asked to stop and then do so again you will be removed.
2) If an admin asks you to do something, like back off the spawn points, and you do not do it you could be removed.
3) No teamkilling for ANY reason. If you do this on purpose you will be banned.
4) No cheating of any kind. Some cheaters have been found and banned this week. I do not know why people want to cheat but be warned you will be banned and your name and I.P. will be sent to the Cheat Police. In general terms this means you will not be able to play MOHSH on any major server on the net.
5) Be respectfull of other players. They may not be aas good as you are but that does not mean they do not have the right to play. Keep the insults in your pocket and offer suggestions instead.
6) Teams...teams..teams....this is a team server and to us that means we should keep the teams as even as possible. Before you join the battle check to see which side needs your help. You may want to be allied all of the time BUT sometimes you may need to play as Axis for a bit. On a server this size their is no reason to have teams that are 12 to 6.
This section has NOT been posted for those of you that play and follow the rules but to those who are new and have not played on the server long enough to know what we expect.

I've just been over to the EA Website and they have posted a press release about the forthcoming second expansion pack for Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. Its working title is MoH Breakthrough :

April 22, 2003 -- Strike a Blow for Liberty in Medal of Honor Allied Assault™ Breakthrough from Electronic Arts.
Created by EALA and developed by TKO Software, Inc., the new expansion pack /b for the critically acclaimed Medal of Honor Allied Assault, takes players from the sands of North Africa to the heart of Italy in the struggle to defeat the Third Reich. Medal of Honor Allied Assault Breakthrough is planned for release on the PC in fall 2003.
As U.S. Army Sergeant John Baker, players join the battle at Kasserine Pass in North Africa, race to capture Messina in Sicily, and finally repel the German army at the historic battle of Monte Battaglia in the heart of Italy. Armed with a new arsenal of weapons, players will fight alone and with squad mates as they rush to stop the Axis powers.
